porlier pass fishing???

hey everybody im heading out to porlier pass tommoroe and im wondering what the limits are for bottom fish. on the inside near chemainus and areas that way your aloud one lingcod per person a day. but im wondering if its different on the outside of porlier pass??. thank you

Just sayin.......you should really read the regs. Lots of info on limits and RCA's in the Gulf Island area.

RCA- Rockfish Conservation Area. Or as I like to call them, "Closed".

well i herd that all lingcod and rock fish in certain areas are opened may 1 to september and ive seen a hull lot of people fishing for lings aswell!

Check the link posted above everyday before you go fishing. Don't rely on the guy's you see out fishing or talk to on the dock........it's up to you to check the reg's so you are legal and informed.

I've seen quite a few people fishing in RCA's in that area. So like Sculpin said, don't rely on the guys you see fishing out there. As for your question, 1 lingcod and 1 rockcod no matter where you fish in that area. Large RCA between Chemainus and Thetis/Kuper/Tent and 2 RCA's just outside of Porlier.
