I'm not that versed in the pricing but, even with used are you not looking at new controls? new steering system? Pod? Trim tabs ect?
Let's just say great relationships come along away. All I need is the glass work, pod build and someone to mount the motors on the bracket and we can do the rest ourselves. Have all the parts I need. I'll share what it all cost me when I'm done.

seems like your well connected to the industry and finding that won't be a problem, nice to have friends and also be able to do the work yourself

The beam, you just can’t find boats the size of the Ciera with amenity for a family and that sleeping arrangement and space for kids.

My brother loves his Ciera and boats more often than anyone I know who has a real job and three kids.

We justify what we spend when we get to a deserted beach, spend time doing world class fishing and say to ourselves, what would it cost to do this in Hawaii? Not only is traveling with kids not ideal we’d have to do it during peak travel time, spending big $$z

It’s 300k to buy a ranger tug with twins, and a 10 foot beam if you can find one used. New it would be more plus the luxury tax.

I think it’s a good move to pod and keep costs low. If you love the platform with outboards reinvest and buy new engines in a couple years say 2026 when dealers are offering 0% financing

engine $?
Bracket $6000
Controls $3000
Fiberglass work $2000
Steering $4000
Wiring engine helm $4000
Gauges $3000
$22k plus engines, i am sure I went high on some of the parts, no where near $100k. Podding my Seasport with twin 150 and a new kicker was under $50 that is with all new electronics( 3 screens) including radar and auto pilot.

yeah my 100k plus comment was in response to someone saying should not get used and just go for new power. If you are going to spend that then maybe listing the boat for sale and putting the the sale proceeds plus what it would cost you for new power into buying a different boat.

funny how things get twisted anyways, its moot as it seems the OP has great connections to get this all done on a small budget.

That’s the budget, it can get out of hand easily
