Perfect waste of Merc Outrboard?

Could they not have done the test on a old 2 stroke. Some people sure love waisting money....

Hahaha wouldnt a bullet be cheaper and more effective at stoping small attacking boats? As for the fried merc! I used to be a big hater until i got one and it has been bulletproof. Knock on wood!

Couldn't think of a better thing to do with a Merc. POS Can't stand those arrogant buggers - I'll never own another one.

WOW, probably $40 billion in development and they can set fire to a boat motor. WOW!

Somehow I think the cost of a 16" gun shell would be better. Shoots to the horizon, doesn't dissipate over distance, and there's nothing to clean up after the fact. Hell, you hardly have to even be close! None of this pin-point accuracy stuff. Leave that to the snipers.

That why it's called "army intelligence" or should i say lack of intelligence , a complete waste of the taxpayers $

(sigh--------------) Been using Mercs since the 60's -- lemme see now-- that makes it over 50 years. Dont really see what the problem is, because i have had good service from almost every engine Only blew up three engines in that time for what would be considered "commercial use" All in all a pretty good record. MAINTENANCE and not abusing the engines is the key to longevity. All five of the majors now have engines that if treated with respect, will last for years... So there!
