Do a search on Telegraph Cove, Port McNeill and Wolf's report a few days back.

It has be hot then cold, a few fish around, maily feeders and high teens/low twenties. Tons of bait. Some days it is really happening, then it just turns off. Been fishing the back side of malcom Island, but it has been slow, so i have been running to Hardy.

Congrats on the trip. Have fun and take lots of pictures, there is lots to see and do in this country that does not involve fishing.

Cheers

Thanks sitka
do you think i should haul the prawn traps up there to?

They should be prawning for you, if you ask. Is it a guided or non guided trip. If non-guided then bring them, although at this time of year they will be deep. Ask the lodge about the extra's that you can do, whale watching is pretty good right now, crabbing is good etc.

Cheers

This trip will be un guided except for the first evening on friday. Im leaving the 22 double eagle in port and will be using pacific outback boats. Are thoses boats set up for two rods or four?

Thanks in advance

Just got home from 4 days fishing out of telegraph cove, we stayed at Pacific Outback Resort. The service was awesome up there, and the food was great. We experienced some very slow fishing. We had to boats that were guided 2 out of the four days and we only landed one spring in the mid teens, it was caught on bait at 99 feet with green flasher just off hanson island. On suday we did have great coho action off craycroft island, all wild so we let them go. so in total after 4 days if fishing with two boats and four guys
1 spring
3 pinks
1 snapper

Now im off to bamfield for two weeks, see you guys there
