Older Spoons

Came across a bunch of older spoons at a consignment store. Prices ranged from $0.89 to $1.99. Seemed like to good of a deal to pass up so I bought a couple. Some look like they have never been fished. Just need a little polishing.

Do people still fish with these older style spoons?

Thought about doing some custom paint jobs on them but it almost seems disrespectful to modify them.

Those Canadian Wonders are great spoons, You can still buy Wonder spoons, but the quality of the plating is far better on the old ones. Don't paint them up if you can bring the finish back with a little polishing. I still use Wonder spoons and so do a lot of other fishers.

Still have few of the "silver horde" spoons my commercial fishing buddy gave me years ago and they still produce !

What is the story with dura nickel hooks? People seem to rave about them but I don't really come across them very often.

Got any in stock......buddy??? :D

I came across and bought boxes of those Dura hooks from an estate sale for a commercial fisherman.

Also got boxes of partrige hooks which look hand-made. Not sure what they're best for?

Nice barbs too on the pictured hooks. :D

Remember, it's called "fishing," not "catching."
