I’m applying for a new MMSI number for my new to me boat. The new boat doesn’t have a compliance notice on it, so how do I find max capacity and gross tonnage? I’ve searched online with no results. I’m guessing I just have to call the manufacturer?

How long is the boat? I think if over 20 feet it may not have ever had one…this is likely of no help…when I did my mmsi I ran into the same problem and I recall just making an educated guess.

That’s exact what I did.
