New Boat

Hey gang,...

I am in the market for a new rig. I have sold mine and currently am boatless. I am looking for about a 20 footer, and would go for an aluminum or glass boat. In the glass boats I really like Seaswirl, Trophy, Wellcraft. If it is a glass boat I would like a hardtop and a kicker.

Aluminum I like Hewescraft, Harbercraft and a few others. I would really like an extended transom as well.

My budget is around $25,000 depending on the boat of course.

Thought you found a Harbercraft in Sooke a few weeks ago.
What happened to that one?
cheers

Some good deals. I really want a hard top with my new to me boat. And somthing that is fairly new/er. I have seen some of the deals down in the States!!! Holy smokes!!! I think I will have to take a couple weeks off and drive down there to check some out and bring one back.

You could buy one of those trophies and put a custom hardtop on it and still be way under your budget. Some of those GW's have hardtops already.

Hi Kris
There's a 1998 21' Striper hardtop just listed on seastriper.com.
Its in California. They want 20,000.
For what its worth

Just took a look...I looks pretty sweet!! The only thing I don't like is the 2strk power :( What do you guys think about 2 vs. 4. All I have ever owned is 4strk power...but I have only owned 3 boats...so some of you more seasoned guys can give me some input I hope???

2 stroke motors stink a lot! But if you only plan on using it to get from point A to point B and then use a four stroke kicker for trolling and short distances, its not tooo bad. Dont quote me, but I believe 2-strokes have more torque than a 4-stroke of the same horse power. I could be wrong about that though. Good luck on finding a boat.
Tight lines

Hi Kris, I am selling my 20' Hewescraft Pro-V which is a real beauty. You can view photos on craigslist under Nanaimo/boats. The 2 Yamaha four strokes are fantastic and have very low hours.

Kris, You should really find a boat with 4-stroke power. You would be extremely disappointed going to 2-stroke after having owned 4-strokes in the past.
