Want to get my kids some decent trout in Nanaimo area. What's your go to lure for getting them in town? I have a small boat i putt around in with them

Can’t go wrong with a willow leaf/Gang troll and worm, bigger lakes like Horne/cowichan etc I always use 3-3.5” spoons or 3/4” tomic plugs

Westwood Lake is a good bet.

There are tiddler trout in all the local lakes in Nanaimo, damn few decent trout.
