What’s your preferred marina ? Pros and cons please. I’m thinking there’s a good chance were gonna have to stay close to home this year with all the virus stuff going on. Just looking for a backup plan

Tough to find a spot that late. Usually have to get in by May to get anything close to downtown. I'd say anything available would be your best option. I like Burrard for it's location. I hate the North Shore.
Apparently there are spots at the rebuilt West Vancouver marina that is next to the gas dock at Thunderbird. The guy posts on craigslist...btw Thunderbird definitely has a waiting list.
Thunderbird in West Van has a great location - close to the fishing grounds and nice and protected. I had my boat there for a couple months and they were always accommodating and good to deal with. Can be tough to get a spot though, especially for a shorter term but you might be able to get a sublet.
Deckside / Pier 73 usually seems to have slips available.
If you go for one under or close to a bridge (Lynnwood, Burrard) be prepared for some extra cleaning.
We had our old boat at Lions Gate Marina. Bit cheaper as your keeping your boat on your trailer, but they don’t open until 7 am so if you want to go out earlier you’re outta luck. Also not as convenient as having your boat in the water and ready to go. Can be a bit of a wait to get your boat in and out depending on how busy it is and if your boat is accessible (if it’s stored inside).
Talk to Astrid at Deckside Marina at Pacific Gateway Hotel. Beautiful facility, fresh water so your boat gets flushed after a day of fishing, central to Sand Heads to Bowen.
