Pursuit 2470 modification
I have a 1995 Pursuit 2470 Walkaround, which is a absolutely a great boat, but model years '95 - '98 came with a what Pursuit termed an "integrated transom" which included a sink on both sides and a fishbox in the middle that was deep, but short in length for big chinooks. Subsequent years of this boat came with a bench seat / fishbox which solves this problem, but takes room from the large dance floor. I decided to try a modification of my integrated transom to increase the fishbox length, have 1 sink, and add remote steering.
Photos 1 & 2 were of the moments in the project I wondered if this would really work?
Photo 3 shows the poly box made by Ronco plastics I chose to make the new fishbox out of.
Photo 4 shows finished fishbox with drainage.
Photo 5 shows sink and aft steering.
Photo 6 shows box in use. Sorry, there have been larger fish in the box, and the stainless shows some surface rust which is now gone, but this is only photo I had.
A great boat is now better.
