Mass flooding event effect on spawning salmon

In addition to all the usual suspects we should be looking hard at Salmon Ranching. What is the impact of releasing millions of competitors on the wild stocks. I understand Alaska, Russia and Japan are all involved in open ocean Ranching. That has to decimate the food sources or at least put a major strain on them.
