I was surprised to see the Colwood Petro Can has now discontinued selling marine or Marked gas.
Is there another dealer between the Victoria and Sooke that sells marked gas??

Yep, the shell is the only one left...need to get a co-op to set up shop along that stretch. Save on marked gas and get 6 cents per litre back at years end.

I agree. A co-op would be great, one that sells diesel as well.

I get marked at the wilkinson/interurban co-op. It is on the way for me.

Only problem is getting on and out of there with a boat is a bit of a pain, so sometimes i just take jerries over and fill them.
cheers

Not on the way from Esquimalt..so they need a co-op on the Colwood strip or Sooke Rd..I would sign up yesterday.

Was surprised to see my rebate for '09- close to 100 bones for not much spent.
My Co-op membership is doing better than my RRSPs!

With the amount of marked fuel, regular and diesel I buy each year I might be able to insure one vehicle for free on the rebate. The whole marked gas thing is a crock of sh*& anyway. Why not just get issued a card that entitles you to the road tax of your purchase and go to any station and any pump of your choice. So long as you are dumping it straight into a boat, or have a business account ie; "Joe's Fishing Charters" you should get a card. From an enforcement point of view..a lot easier to monitor and check when you have a list of the users on hand. The government fines businesses if they collect taxes improperly from consumers...but here they are collecting road tax they are not entitled to from everyone who can't find marked fuel and puts unmarked in instead. Talk about a double standard!!!

ok thanks. you've given me ideas. there is also supposed to be a station that has it by the log cabin pub but I'm not exactly sure where.

There is a CO-OP gas bar and store across the street from the loghouse pub on Millstream road.

Ya CO-UP right across from Log House Pub. They even pump it fer ya,:) and give yer dog a cookie.:D Put the Bar-be-qu propain, boat gas, diesel, and yer wifes gas, even the milk and bread on the bill and get money back at Christmas time. [8D] Great deal. :D[8D]:)

I know the young fella who pumped my gas the last time I stopped at the Shell was pretty upset that they wouldn't bring the marked down from Ladysmith. He knew the value that boaters brought in - not only from just gassing up. I won't stop their anymore unless I need bait.

I don't think the Co-op on Wilkinson is a 24 hour. Not sure.

The co-op by the loghouse is a really small cramped station and tough to get a big boat in when it's busy.

Shell has pulled a real bummer. They don't care about their customers.

I purchased marked gas at a station just after leaving Drunken today
89.4 litre
16 cents cheaper than Sooke
