Put 'em on the dash/helm station or hanging off the rods on the way out....

Yeah I bought a cheapo UV Flashlight like the above that really charges them up-it's good for SFA else but that's why I bought a cheapo.
OK I actually bought another more expensive one from Aliexpress but now I find out it takes a special rechargeable battery so who knows when I'll get around to buying that.

I bought one last week. I've been wandering around in the dark shining it on my gear. Interesting the way some stuff lights up and some doesn't. Surprising to see how the pink sockeye stuff shines. The glow certainly is brighter than with just house lights. You can also use the uv light to find scorpions and bodily fluids.
What causes glow stuff to turn grey? too much sun?

Most glow spoons and flashers the glow only lasts 2-3 minutes. I have timed all the popular brands myself and they all die after 3 maybe 4 minutes tops! Im confused as to why everyone is glow glow glow? More of a marketing scheme? What are your guys thoughts. By the time you get your gear down to 100-200ft you have a couple minutes of glow.

Great article! I had similar results with the glow tape products and hootchies. Phone flashlight and the glow faded after 3 or 4 minutes.

Old camera flashes work great. Cheap too. Salvation Army, Thrift Stores...

Interesting article. Don't know if one needs to re-charge their lures as frequently as the articles states because as long as it is daylight, UV light will shine down, penetrate the water to much greater depths then visible light and cause your lure to glow to some extent.
IMO I think it is more important to keep your gear in the water fishing, then bringing it up all the time to charge it. When you bring up your gear let it lay in the daylight for 10-30 seconds it will charge up as they is more UV light in the sun, then in a UV light.
I think you only need to charge your lures then in low light conditions, otherwise let the daylight do the work for you.
