Lowrance paddle wheel speed sensor

my lowrance paddle wheel speed sensor starts to show my boat going at 999 knots (I wish). When SOG shows 25 knots and when trolling it shows speed in excess of 100 knots.
Anyone know if the sensor can be fixed or the only way is to get a new one?

sounds like it's fried ... time to replace

get an ultrasonic one. the paddle wheels are terrible.
