Hey guys A friend of mine said its pretty good fishing in Loon Lake.
I was wanting to go there this long weekend are there any cheap hotels/motels to crash at for the night?? hows the fishing anyone been there?? :D

Better check the tides first :D

The one in the interior I didnt even know there was one on the island.

That was what we call ribbing;).....(salt forum)

Thought you were looking into the Island for the long weekend?

Have your salt and fresh licence... Take some spinners and some whee pink buzz bombs. GO TO CAMPBELL RIVER
Camp near there an fish the river with your trout rod and spinners... catch pinks till you puke.
Walk the beaches near by and chuck the buzz bombs if they are far out or the spinners if they are tight.
Good times ;)

duuuuuude.........BOOKMARK this link and learn to check the regs.;) This has all the regs you will need to reference. Although advice you may get on limits/openings etc may be right 99% of the time....learn to check em' for yourself. It's all "part" of fishing.....ha ha.

And "yes"....the pinks are up there now. Be forewarned it may be pretty darn busy as I have heard a few reports of lots of guys fishing.

Have a look at the thread in the fresh forum... I havent heard anything different from those reports. The river will probably be busy but no reason you couldnt find a spot.
I enjoy hiking the beaches and fishing the chuck. Usually less crowds and as good fishing if you stumble across some
4 per day in the river or the chuck. Need a salmon stamp on your freshwater licence to retain river salmon though.

Whats the best types of lures/bait to use to catch the Pinks in the River??

Float and a little bit of pink or green wool, spinners, spoons, flies
