Looking for a 2301 Striper with I/O and would prefer Duoprops but not a deal breaker. Must have the Alaska Pkg. Prefer 2002 thru 2004. Let me know what you've got.
Thanks!

there are a few great deals on the Striper Owners Club website: www.seastriper.com.

a 2000 2301 just sold -- he was asking $17,500 for what looked to be a very clean boat.

Camano Marine just posted some sales on the striper site. They are in WA state an hour south of the BC border. I purchased an 1851 there a couple of years back.

2101 DC OB $35,796 F200TXR EZ Loader Tandem Axle
2101 WA IO $35,569 Volvo 225 HP EZ Loader Tandem Axle

2301 WA IO $47,342 Volvo 270 HP Ak Pak EZ Loader Tandem Axle
3301 WAOB $105,767 Twin F250TXR

There is a 2000 2600 Sport Cabin for sale on the site with twin Evinrudes that is a great deal. The boat looks super clean. I've got one of these with an I/O and in my opinion, these are one of the best boats for our waters here as there is loads of deck plus a nice big area to stay warm and dry.

Sorry lefty, just realized you also posted on that site under a different name.

No problem TenMile. Thanks for the interest. Still looking!

I'd be taking a run at that 2600. They are trailerable and it comes with one.... The owner took the boat on a trade for a 2901 so might just want to get rid of it.

He stated that the boat burns 15 gallons and hour(WOW)! That's a lot of Loonies!

I have the I/O version of the same boat with a Mercruiser 5.7 with the Bravo III dual props. At cruising speed it will burn 12-14Gph -- better to look at MPG which is about 2mpg at just about any speed while on plane.

You're not going to be that much better with the 2301 -- they are both pretty big and heavy, but the 2301 is lighter (about 1800lbs). You can get away with the 5.0L engine in the 2301 so it will be lighter but I'd bet your fuel is still going to be over 10Gph (real world, not BoatTest world).

Not many boats will do much more than 2-3mpg no matter how you slice it unless you cruise at6-10 mph. Boats form a hole in the water into which you pour money.:D

Good observation Gunsmith! You are right on point.
I would prefer the 5.0 with the Duoprop. Been told that is the most fuel efficient.

Out of curiosity what power is behind the duo-prop?[?]

Supposed to give you better handling and better fuel economy.

It definitely does on the steering there is no torque felt, you can let go of the steering and the boat goes straight. You get a quick out of the hole shot and you do get a better cruise but I have not seen to date any tests with 5mpg. That is why I was curious to what the power was.
