I am looking for a new long block mercruiser 5.7 , any ideas on where I can get my hands on one ? Hoping to stay clear of reman if possible. Vancover or Van island

I was in your shoes in May and I had to go to the States to find one, we checked across BC for a new 5.7 vortec long block with no luck. Ended up with one from Michigan Mortorz and it was their last spec build for the volvo penta 320gxi we needed aka a generic 5.7 vortec.

Dave at California Marine in Richmond has GM crate engines.

Treat yourself to a 383 inch small block Chevy, should be available from crate engine depot or your local GM dealer.

Not sure if youve tried marine parts supply in nanaimo...was in a while back and the had a long block on the floor good to go
