Very rustic! I notice you didn't waste a lot of time peeling the bark off the logs. Are you concerned at all that all kinds of little critters might take advantage of the nesting opportunities inherent with "barked" logs?

I'm curious to know more of the lead up to the building of the cabin and what the plans are for it. Projects like this don't need any other reason than boredom...although this is a bit more elaborate than just killing time while out camping at a family reunion in Saskatchewan. One assumes there is a reason for location and planned use once finished?

I think this is a kid...like 15 years old or something like that. You just do it cus your dad says you can borrow his chainsaw at that age...plus you get to be out in the woods away from the parents.. And, its a good place to keep your stash.

yeah im 18 and I like going up the bush and making cabins for something to do, better then sitting at home doing nothing waiting for the fishing weather to get better, and also im ply wooding the floor roof and walls so there wont be any gaps in the walls and im putting the fireplace in today sometime and starting on the loft

Nice work I55. Pay no attention to the naysayers, Would rather see you doing that than some of the other bs most kids your age get into. Is this in your general locale or some other destination? Keep posting your progress, I want to see what the fort looks like when its done.
