Lake Cowichan

Recently retired, new tin boat and lots of time to fish the lake I used to fish 30+ years ago. Now I fished the old wharf at the Weir, Shaw, Nixon and Bear but that was with roe and I really don't have a clue where a good starting point might be. Anyone like to free up some info like where to go, what to use, how deep, how fast, spin casting or flies, plugs or spoons etc etc. My buddy and I would be thankful.
