Kicker mount?

Want to remove the kicker mount that was on my boat when I bought it and replace with a larger one. Have taken the bolts out but now need to get the mount off. Ideas? Seems to be on there quite well. My boat is fiberglass. Also what do I use to patch the old holes as the new garlik kicker will not use the same setup. Thanks.

You probably are dealing with a healthy does of either 3M 5200 or Sikaflex. Both are nasty adhesives used to seal things on boats. I would suggest tapping a plastic wedge in from one side very slowly, over the course of a day, and it should come off leaving your gelcoat intact. Don't rush it otherwise.

Speaking of kicker mounts, does anyone know where to pick up a replacement mounting pad for a kicker mount? Reasonably priced of course...., (wife says my wallet squeaks, and kids say I have moths in there)[)]

Where are you located ? if in the vic /sooke area victoria plastics in sooke can hook you up with a chunk of starboard very tough stuff.
