Jenkins Marine for pod build?

Does anyone have any recommendations for fiberglass work (preferably in the lower mainland)?

I am leaning towards getting the transom closed in (and checked structurally, repair if needed) locally. Then have the pod built by one of the recommended shops on the island.
Not sure if he’s got the time, but did you talk to @Brando

To be honest fiberglass is really easy to do its just making sure prep is done.. plugging a hole is very easy and it doesnt have to be show room pretty as it get covered up . What I did was get a buddy hold cardboard up traced out the patter and cut plywood . waited till pod was built then did the work, heated shop is asset but dry is more important. I will add took me like a hour to finish for what they charge now insane.

I tend to lean towards doing as much work myself as possible but we have a new born and getting time or space to do this type of work is a challenge.

I’d also like a pro to review the transom and make sure it doesn’t need work prior to starting all of this. I’m prepared to have a transom rebuilt if necessary but I’d rather have it looked at before slapping the pod on.

Original survey said transom was solid but I have noticed some water in areas as I removed all the hardware from the outer transom.

Check with Brant Marine in Delta. They did my glass work and installed my PDR pod, but they build pods as well. They have an experienced team there and do great work.

Yes I guess you could shop around but when someone have built well over 100 of them and are good builders and recommended by many do what ya want.
I have heard many a horror story from certain places. not to mention any names.
I will also chime in as I asked WHY he built his pod with a well in it and it was explaind to me as the deck is higher for 1 nothing is more annoying as when that pod gets hit by waves and is pushed, and most important when you till motor up the huge connections doesnt get pinched when its completly flat deck the wires going into engine will get pinched badly. also HUGE renforcement. with a well.
