I've Got Better Things To Do........

Than clean up after the (expletive deleted) types who left this mess on private property about 75 ft. from prime Coho spawning habitat.

The treeline in the back marks the west branch of Haig-Brown's Kingfisher Creek upon which a small project has just been done, and I first saw this mess two days ago although I've been told it was there over the past weekend.

Obviously a truck bigger than a pickup with medium or low sides backed into place and they simply chucked everything out on the three available sides.

Bigger than a pickup because it took nearly three loads to get rid of it at the local dump, about two miles up the road.

Here's pal Peter next to the one load we took in my 1/2 ton with an eight foot box. Not sure who took the rest away but most likely to be Chuck DeSourcey, one of the many unsung local heroes around here who do so much for little creeks and a guy I have huge respect for.

I try to never "hate" anything or anybody, but I despise this sort of blatant crap and the fact they so rarely get caught irks me no end.

Perhaps a hidden motion activated game camera is needed to cover that area??

PO'd on the Tyee Spit.

Take care.

Good job quickly cleaning that mess up. Hope one of these days anemone gets a licence plate#

All it takes is some lazy SOB who doesn't know what time the dump closes. Or a recent increase in dump fees will prompt a rash of these incidents.

Dave H Take comfort in the fact that your actions are appreciated by many who will never know what you did by cleaning it up. Locally we have a cleanup of local trails hiking areas and beaches and you would be amazed what gets hauled out year after year. Job well done congrats.

What do you expect with the examples that our country's leaders set? Who is going to clean up after Harper & Co? Think of that mess!!

Thank you for doing this and setting a fine example. Where are peoples values dumping stuff like this? I salute you. I think it was Suzuki who said .......one of the best ways each of us can positively impact the environment is to pick up a piece of garbage off the street every day. You've done your part for a lifetime....
