islander mooching reel choice?

What is the most popular of the islander mooching reels line up?
MR2, ARMR2,or MR3
What would be the reason not to go with the ARMR2 vs the MR2?

IMHO I would think it is the newer model the MR3 with it's larger arbor and line capacity - but the MR2 has been around longer. Don't know many guys that use the ARM2.

I gotta agree with Whole in the Water for the reasons he stated. I have fished with both the MR2 and MR3....both are great reels but this spring when I am making the plunge into the more expensive reels I will be getting an MR3.

As for the ARMR2....I have never heard of anyone using one. I would think it may be for some guides who don't want their rookies hurtin' their knuckles....although I always find it a bit funny when I see someone get whapped a couple of times. [:I]
