Great day on the water yesterday.
Headed out around noon and the father in law landed his first and second salt water salmon.
12 and a 14 pounder.
Trolling between Shelter and Willow Points.
Conditions were excellent!

Went today off of sooke one word COLD and fishing was slow 1 ling which would have been good if open 2 smalls and no keepers so F it ill go hunting tommorow!!!! LOL

Haven't had the boat in the water for the past couple of weeks, so I accepted an invitation from my oldest son to fish the Big Qualicum with him and my 4-year old grandson on Saturday. What a blast! Between us, we caught over 20 chums in about 3 hours. Most were hooked in the mouth, but I'd be lying if I told you we didn't snag any. Biggest was a little over 20 pounds. We only kept one fish which I am in the process of cold smoking as I type this. Great way to introduce fishing to the little one, and get in practice for steelheading in the next month or two. Not to mention trying out my cold smoke adaptor for my Bradley............

And my youngest son is still hurting that he slept in and missed the fun -.

Yup, tough to get motivated to fish in the middle of the rut! However, I do have plans for rainbows in Deifinbaker L. later in the month if I can get myself away from the whitetails in SK
