Change out those hooks!! I lost 2 big springs on silver horde coho killers-same hook -both broke at the eye bend.

Are these for salt or fresh?

I am so confused.........Freakin general always get ya :D

They've been working good sofar this year. I picked up a couple fish on them last weekend along with the black and glo TKO's

x2 Springfever....I think those are Matzuo open-eye hooks they use on those.... the design of the hook itself is good....

but......I have bought Matzuo open-eye hooks like that in bulk to use on other spoons.......and just about every one I crimped on snapped at the eye and broke......and I was crimping correctly...

I don't know what metal they use....but it is real brittle and snaps easily...

They are good design but junk metal.....I won't use them again....

Hey Sea, I take it your talking about the hooks only , if so just change out the hook , thats what Im doing and I have used the 4s since they came out and they are holding their color so kind of excited to see they put out these 3 1/2 (but change the hooks out)
Just thinkin !

Pnt has a great selection , Teds is definately the place for the full spectrum ,
the irish creme is a good performer ,hooks are garbage , i change em out immediately , give em a slight mod as well ...,
cookies n creme , white lightning , Green and yellow splatter ,red racer etc.... all a must have , 36 - 42 in leader is best from my tests ,
spoons have been pretty quiet for me this winter..almost zero... Barkley Sound is now starting ta load up with 6-7 in. herring
a few of our fish this weekend were stuffed with them...seen several schools break water , i covered ALOT of water ...... , report ta follow once
the head stops spinnin... : )

Yep.....dynamite...and I have had those hooks break on me too. Put on a stainless Mustad 3/0.....and you be rockin...

Was in Pacific Angler in Vancouver and bought 6 yesterday....and they have a peg full.

The smaller size works dynamite!!!!

Sir-vivor....yes I was just talking about the hooks not the lure itself..(with which there is nothing wrong)..

I thought that Sea, but just in case had to be sure because todate I have always done well with this design , even with the crappy hooks . BUT ! I am changing them this year because I am going after BIG BIG BIG fish only (I hope LOL).
