Hi New here to the site, kind of , have been following for a awhile be never had signed up until now.
I'm in the lower mainland but will fish anywhere if the opportunity arises and providing my health allows me. Actually recommended to by my doctor.
Anyhow used to fish the ocean a little bit in the late 80's to early 90's I was in my 20's to 30's then. Have been out of it for awhile but would like to get back into it as per doctor recommendations. Also have a couple of kids I would like to teach how to fish once I relearn the techniques again.
I have most of the gear and then some. Even though I have been out of the scene for awhile I still seemed to collect and buy gear through out the years," just got to have it" Im sure you know the feeling.
I have a project boat my friend is helping me finish up and hope to be out this year. Just an aluminum tin boat but back in the day I caught more fish from a cartopper then any other boat I owned in the past. I may have a few dumb questions, but be easy on me as I have been out of the scene for a number of years. I may have to get rid of some of my old school gear and update. Last time I owned a downrigger you had to crank it in by hand and electric was illegal, LOL. However I have had the use of electric on one of my friends boats in Courtenay. Hope to meet some of you from the site one day
