Anybody know anything about Rutter manufacturing in North Vancouver? Kicking around the idea of picking up a project boat and am looking at one of theirs. Info on the internet seems to be pretty slim. I can't seem to get the pics to load up but will post some when I'm able.

Wow that looks like on original Brentwood or Gilbert marine rental boats from the 80's in brentwood bay. This looks like one that has been fully restored, and modified. Or it is a newer copy. I bet you this is one. I think the green paint/yellow shown chipped there was brentwood. Blue I think were gilberts.

Oh? The trailer reg says 1981 but no papers for the boat so not sure of age. Owner thinks it's the same age as the trailer. No power in it but had a 4 cyl diesel originally. Boats far from the ocean now but I'm interested enough to go check it out. Owner says about 16' long. That seem right for one of those Brentwood bay boats?

Yes that is the one. 1981 vintage would be right. Interesting on diesel though. Originally they were gas.

Huh. Someone may have repowered at one time. Guy who owns it now runs a 9.9 off the stern and unfortunately ditched the power that it came with.

Just spoke with the owner and he bought it in whistler 5 yrs ago so it's totally possible it's a Brentwood boat.

He was told when he bought it that it was a net tender on a seiner. No way to verify that I guess.

I seined 10 summers. There are dead skiffs and power skiffs. This is neither, but it is cool. There is no way to lift it, row it, drag it up the stern without it tipping over, or run it over the corkline without getting the prop in the net for starters.

I dont think its a brentwood rental. I found one online... The roof looks different, and they didn't have a hatch. I am sure a few on here remember cruising to bamberton in the chugger. Not sure where that boat is from.
