Interesting story Englishman. How did you end up in Canada? Were you transfered with the company you worked for or recruited by a Canadian firm?

Yes, I was recruited by a Canadian firm over there and that enabled my wife and I to get Landed Immigrant status. Got citizenship after only 3 years on these shores (which you could do back then) had three kids here, and the rest, as they say, is history. (Needless to say I made sure they all went to University here - history repeats itself I guess, although only one did Computer Science.)
