just got back from a week long hunt, chasing elk around mcnabb creek.
found a herd at the end of a valley 600m above us, took 3 hrs to get above and around them to get into a shooting position.
a single shot put him down quickly. 3 incredibly wet, steep, hard days later we had the meat packed out.
my first elk, a 7x6


and i recovered my first barnes tsx bullet in 5 years

entered at his left side, rearmost rib and came to rest against his spine at his neck
