how to fish with a spin-n-glow

small green and silver on top of a bead in front of squirts or hootchies trolled fast in deep water by tide lines for coho in the salt chuck.

Freshwater rigging for rivers: hook, bead, large spinnglow, bead, 14inch leader of 30-40lb test to three way swivel side swivel, botton swivel to lead weight of several ounces via a few inches of line, top side of three way swivel to mainline. Cast off a gravel bar into a fishy looking deep hole near a tributary river mouth on the skeena or fraser river. reel in the slack until there is tension on the line and the weight stops moving on the river bottom. this raises the spinner leader abobe the bottom. put your rod in a holder, put the bell on the rod tip and start drinking beer until the bell rings.......if it ever does. Colours: Green and chrome for coho, red/pink and chrome or chartreuse and pink/red for chinook, but sometimes odd glowing pink and pearl or darker colours are needed based on water clarity and local fish preferences. Sometimes tipping the hook with a bit of roe, piece of tinsel/crystal flash, or herring strip makes all the difference. Pink beads for chinook, green for coho. Fish them in July, Aug, Sept when the main runs are coming through.
