Hot tub boats

So me and the boy were cruisin' saanich inlet today soaking wet in the pissing down rain and fishing partner comes up with "how awesome would it be to fish out of a hot tub?"

So I have seen the odd one before on the chive but anyone else have any experience seeing these things live?
