what color of hootchies should i get and the numbers of them for all salmon

Green and white for Chinook and pink for sockeye, white for coho.

For Chinook fishing here's some you'll want to try:

Yamashita: OG140R

North Pacific/Yozuri: B56OA, G26LBD, GBOAL12R

Here's some "work everywhere" colors" for Chinooks.

Green Splatterback:- Fluo Green back with "spatter' on it....White Glow bottom.
Army Truck:- dark green top, red stripe down side, Glow bottom.
Cop car:- has black top (sometimes with silver speckles), glow white bottom
Straight white "Casper".....plain white hoochy, doesn't glow
Glo-Below:- straight white glow hoochy...glows all over...
Black oil slick:- straight black with reflective blotches of multi-hue "oil slick" finish.
Purple Haze:- Clear UV body with purple stripe down sides.....

if the salmon are eating needlefish, all the those colors are available in needlefish pattern.

Coho will take the same colors but you might need to go slightly shorter leader lengths and a little bit faster and shallower.

Pinks:- Pinks like pink......but they also like a lot of other stuff, even bait. In some places you don't have to target Pinks...the Pinks will target you.

Sockeye:- really small hoochies on short leaders........pink, pink-green, pink-blue, pink-black for starters. Sockeye are also "pink prone" but they hit other colors as well.

Depends where you go........some of the *cough* hired help these days........

The ones I mentioned are made by several hoochy makers.......

I would get Yamashita hoochies if I were you........or North Pacific (North Pacific hoochies are sold at Pac Net and Twine.)

Those two that JeffyWest Coast posted are very good...especially the Pearl UV hoochy.....

I think DegreeOf Freedom is talking about the "T-REX" hoochy......there are pictures of it on this site somewhere....

I don't know who the best tackle seller is in Duncan these days......haven't been downtown Dunc for ages.....

In Nanaimo it's Harbor Chandler and Gone Fishin'
Wholesale Sports in Nan does not have a hell of a lot in the way of hoochies.
They have a few ...but they're all thick-skinned offshore brands mostly.....

The "Blue Meanie" is good up Campbell River way........but I've never caught dick squat on it around F.C. or Winchelsea.

The GBOAL12R is, I think , the same as the ones in the pic JeffyWestCoast posted......

I've used it myself and it is good at times......

Last year in july i lost the bigest chinook i have ever had on in front of whittlestone i had him to the surface twice before he spit the hook , i know, iknow they are always the biggest when you don't land them but this thing was well over 30 no lie, i think it is call the aor12 or something like that. Pearl white anyway.. Giver a go !

One guy told me once bu what ever colour hootchies you want as long as there green!! I have done well with army truck and when you get really deep there all the same colour just different shades of grey I think

Just head into PNT and buy one of every color. Cause one day you will be fishing somewhere and the guy killing beside you will say you need this one and you will have it. It's a small price to pay to know you have all the right gear.... LOL just joking.
