Any info would be great I'm hearing little pices of info from people about halibut starting to show up ????

Actually halibut have been around since early spring.......just a little while from now they will take off back out to deep water.

Never heard of any hali's from Ladysmith area........Nanaimo has a few now and again but it is hit or miss.
Many around there are caught as a "by-catch" on salmon gear.

You can never say for sure around Nanaimo where exactly you are going to get one.

Probably east side of Gabriola is your best bet...... Thrasher Reef or off Entrance Island area.
