One of my favourite and most productive spots is 390 ft. on west Constance

If you want fight out of a halibut show it that it should be afraid of the boat. They aren't scared of much, certainly not of the boat. But miss a harpoon shot or give it a smack with the gaffe and its on!

Up at Nootka I rarely fish Hali deeper than 100 ft. Got a couple of nice chickens in 70 ft 3 weeks back.
