Grady white 232 - Delamination

What material is the core,it doesn't look like balsacore?
Grady uses a marine plywood as a core The new core will not be wood .Mike knows the name of the material. I believe it's the same stuff I used when my Centre walkway20230121_123549_resized.jpg got soft and replaced it.

Put new core in, glass it back up. Fair it out, match the gel and spray the whole side. Not a cheap solution but better than any other option. Make grady great again Deryk! Ps. I'm surprised they core the hulls on the 232. I know our 228 wasn't cored. I know the bigger expresses are cored and they have issues. To bad they didn't use a closed cell foam.
I believe it's Closed cell foam going in there they VP seal it then all the other fun stuff.

What caused the impact and how did water get into the core? I was surprised to find my Seasport has Balsacore lining from waterline down when I did a bottom repair.

So as i understand it this was were it start before I bought the boat 15 years ago previous owner in the states. I had a hard hit backing my boat in to its slip when I ran a single screw 300 Suzuki on super windy afternoon in Port. So some water got in there but when we did the repair it was already rotten so now it all makes sense as the damage was more than what it should have been. Also put a 350 dual prop on the boat which was a game changer for the boat :)

I believe the alternative to wood is coosa board - which can be used for vessel sidewalls.

I believe its called Davasil they use.. However they can not get it in the right diameter for this fix so it going to be balsa wood core
