got horses,, how about 557?

Nice looking units.

listed in benefits of V-8 engine - "fuel efficient" (that must be a relative term ;))
6.2 litres 557 HP that thing is going to drink some fuel for sure.

Maintenance may be a bit of a problem for a while - Mechanical technicians that come to you they say, now that sounds expensive to me no doubt.

Well if you have the money, why not, I bet they will go fast.

Just waiting to see someone put up on the net a video of some guy that has put four of these on the back of his boat LOL. (someone will do it!)

A relative term for sure...... Gas + air = HP.......... Bet you that it would burn less(on a level playing field) than the 5.2l in my durange-o at under 300hp

Will go a step further and say that that 557 burns less fuel than my merc 188 with a 300 cfm 2 barrel

At 1000 pounds they are not for smaller boats. To heavy and going to raise your high centre of gravity...pretty much then same as jacking up a V-8 IO 3 or 4 feet higher. Not good for stability.

The plus is that boats are being designed around this package. Definitely not in my budget range!
