french creek and area!

trying to start a thread for French creek and area as i am not a seasoned fisherman but i am trying to make contact with people to discuss whats working or how the fishing is etc. Last year i was told it was the best fishing in 5 years out there so any comments would be great!

yes, that was true. I have fished qualicum for years. Last year was by far the best that i can remember.

go into the french creek store and ask for the french creek killer and I`d concentrate on the structure you see on your chart in the 200 ft depth coming up out of the 300 ft depth, you`ll nail something eventually

yeah i am going out tonight for the first time of the year just finished tuning my boat so hopefully i have some luck. what cb channel do people use out there anyways?

Hey Frustrated, I finally got a nice 10lber this morning at Ballenas. It was the first one on my new license and I fish quite a bit. That could mean the're starting to show up or I just got lucky. Going out again tomorrow and I'll let you know.Hey Kelly been out?

Greg skunked fishin 4-7 dead at ballenas for 4 boats. Gerald had tons of bait and russ got a low 20s fish at 140ft on hootchie. From the sounds of it nanaimos really heating up and last year we were two weeks behind so im crossin my fingers. Kicker goes on in the morn ill be fishing by the weekend.

went out the other night one hit nothing in the boat, spent more time tinkering with my motor. hey anybody got a 9.9 4 stroke kicker for sale thought i would ask!

Bushy and I fished Gerald, Ballenas and Sangster. Tons of bait and/or fish at Gerald but they were'nt salmon. We caught two hake so I think that's what is showing. Bushy lost a beauty after a 5min. spirited battle at Sangster.Oh well Bushy maybe next time.

Pulled the boat for repairs/maintenance. Hopefully things will be better in a week, talk to you then.

Went to sangster the few fish were really shallow. Saw one finning and hit one dropping the lines at 20ft. I talked to 10 good fisherman that went out fishing today and the reports were grim. One hooked at sangster and lost between 4 boats out. two landed between 8 guys fishin. Two others fished wincheleas and got skunked. Im taking people out in the morning ill try gerald. None of the veterans i have talked to are worried they say they will be here in a week or two and its often a lull like this.

From the few that went out that i heard of were doing pretty well. They were fishing deep 150-190ft on bottom.
