Just got back from the service department of my local dealer.
My '05 F350 requires a new turbo, EGR valve and such. All under warranty but my mechanic says I have been driving the truck too nicely.
"Drive it like you stole it" was his exact words. Coked up valve and turbo vanes.
In an effort to get good fuel economy and maintain some semblance of responsible driving, I am apparently doing more harm to my truck than beating the you know what out of it.
Without dragging 12,000 pounds of weight up to Port Alberni at warp nine every week or so just to warm it up, I'm at a loss as to what I can do to keep this truck "working".
I guess I could drag my mini-van sideways down the road once a week, but then I'd be looking at new tires for the van.
Too much power which means I'm idling every where I go.
Might have to sell it and go back to a gas unit.
