Fixed Kicker Bracket

I have an 8 hp 2 stroke long shaft Yamaha kicker. It is currently mounted on an adjustable bracket which I hate. Can anyone suggest a good quality and sturdy fixed bracket for my kicker and where to purchase it? I will mount it on a 16 foot Double Eagle.

I concur with Baddog, got the same one. Ensure you attach to a strong transom backing for rigidity & support.

Howdy,

I replaced mine a few months back with a heavier one for my 15/Honda. I still have the old one and it is in decent shape. It was too light for the 15 (which weighs the same as the 10).

If you want it, it's yours for the taking.

I've been using a CMC electric kicker bracket for two years now and I would hate to go back to a manual lift. The model I use is a PT35 good for up to 35 hp (I have a 9.9 4 stroke) very strong and dependable. Not expensive I paid about $400. http://www.cook-mfg.net/

does anybody know of a fixed kicker bracket that is hollow hull extension that provides some buoyancy, which would help compensate for the weight of the kicker motor and/or operator sitting near the stern? I thought I've seen a fiberglass unit as described, but can't find such online. Any help would be appreciated.
