Recommended shop for kicker bracket

Hi everyone,

I’m looking at getting a kicker bracket mounted on the family’s 19ft aluminum center console. Currently it only has a Yami 115 on it. It’s already podded. Which shop in the lower mainland would you recommend for welding on the mount?

I had mine done by Tom at TommyCraftMarine in Maple Ridge - Great guy. Give him a call, but be forewarned that every marine shop is going to be swamped right now just keeping their regular customers running over the summer holidays.

Tom's main line of work is building aluminum jet boats for the river and his work is very good. If you have an idea of what you want, he can build it - if you don't know what you want, he can think of something and build it as well.

One recommendation - which gets repeated a lot - if you can, keep the kicker in-line with the main. Makes the tie bar setup so much easier.

Doesn’t look like you need a bracket just bolt it right on beside your main. Photo is hard to tell for sure

My buddy has a aluminum fabricated one in his shop. He will be back this weekend, I know he was going to sell it. I will take a pic for you when I see him.

Zooming into your picture, I agree that the kicker be bolted on beside your main. His bracket is not for that style transom.
