fishing today

Beautiful afternoon out at Constance bank...
4 small springs released and bonked one about 5lbs.
all on spoons.
also released a nice halibut about 20-25 lbs
can you hear the tears falling on my keyboard ?

how did the sooke boys do ?

Well we did very good on crab today i did count as many as 27 boats off of the waterfront and albert head but i didnt hear of any reports from there?????anyone?????

landed 6 fish, lost three...all about the same size, one pin popper....at the bluffs.....took home a five pounder.....no slabs today, but it was flat calm and sunny...great day

I had to work later than I expected so i never got out today
Hopefully I'll make it out Sunday.
What were u getting them on today, and was it early or late in te day?

we weren't fishng until about 8:30ish but hit 3 fish in the first 20 mins...I had a feeling we were picking up the tail end of a morning bite...as for gear " the usual"....no bait..good luck

Nothing off Tent Isl. or the narrows today , Grandson had fun with crabs we got off of Bare Pt. by Chemainus.
didn't put out prawn traps will tomorrow.

Kept one fish, 6lbs ,let 4 go, 4 other bites.1 was good, unplugged and pulled 50 ft of line, that was anchovy on jellyfish head and flasher at 135 ft wire . Was hopin for bigger, maybe tomorrow <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> fished from 8t12.. tried spoons and hootchy too. didnt see much others caught..off wells o weary and kemp lake auto court.

Kept one fish, 6lbs ,let 4 go, 4 other bites.1 was good, unplugged and pulled 50 ft of line, that was anchovy on jellyfish head and flasher at 135 ft wire . tried running a 6" spoon with no flasher...
it got 5 out of 6 hits including the halibut.

first time i tried this, but it obviously works better
at times.

yup, gotta listen to the pro's !
fish did not fight the same without a flasher
whackin' away at em...
mind you they were small.

I didn't get a chance to get out today but I spoke with a buddy who was out off the waterfront. He said it was lumpy and only a few fish in a couple of hours.
