I am visiting in June and wanted to ask if there are any rental options for surf casting equipment?

Never seen it of course surf casting itself is rare as popeshit.

You can get a pretty affordable casting rod and reel and a couple lures at any fishing store, gone fishing, Trotac, island outfitters on the island. Buy a few buzzbombs and you are in business. Chains stores, Cabela’s, Walmart, Canadian tire have them as well. You can always sell it on Facebook marketplace before you fly home.

A suggestion: Try crabbing. doable from docks and piers. You will land some red rock for sure. Gear is cheap.
