I have had tremendous success very early before dawn with a Pirates den double fash white LED light in an ivory cuttlefish or the pearl glow wench-standrd ties behind a normal flasher. Man that is early morning in June and I don't make it that often!!! LOL
Yeah - I was going to metion LED lures. Lighthouse Lures also offer a wide variety of these. I will surely be out before sun-up to try out this new LED technology. It just makes sense…we all know there are luminescent critters down there, some make their own light…some store the light. All fish and game feed whenever they can (instinct) and a full moon surely provides enough light to do this. They not only need enough light to feed themselves, they also need enough light to see predators while they are feeding. I’ve caught salmon half hour before sun-up so I know they feed at night as well….just depends on visibility. These LED lures should enhance that……
I would think it would be X2 for halibut if you know exactly where you want to drift/anchor….especially on a slack tide…..good thread and interesting responses…
Be safe all, Swanny
