Fish Prices in Arizona

Last month I relocated to Scottsdale Arizona for a few months. In preparation I purchased a plug-in cooler and packed it with frozen smoked salmon and Halibut. BOY WAS THAT A GOOD IDEA.

Here are some of the prices I've seen in the stores:

Atlantic farmed salmon is $12.00 to $16.00 per lb. and the label reads "Atlantic Salmon, farm raised, color add during feeding". All the farmed fish labels note color added.

Pacific Wild King (springs) salmon $25.00 per lb. It only can be purchased at AJs Market and the label reads "Wild Canadian Salmon"

Alaskan Halibut is $29.00 per lb if you can find someone who sells it and it doesn't look that fresh.

So if your going south make sure you pack some of your fish,

I hope you weren't hoping to see some cheap seat Canuck games in Phoenix!!! lol

When I go south (Colombia)I fill my suitcase with slabber's finest smoked salmon;they could care less what I wear as long as it's salmon.
Down there they have no idea most of the salmon is farmed in Chile.

Doug trade some of salmon for a Mexican feast.

My folks retired to AZ... They always tell me about garage sales in and around thier community that canned and smoked BC wild salmon is for sale bringing in big money. Pisses me off.......

The only armadillos are chocolate around here and they are hard to find and also expensive.

I will be going to the BJ auction in Jan. The Scottsdale BJ is the largest auction they have. Cars and cars have been arriving at the BJ warehouse site (it’s open to the public) and last Weds I saw the original Bat Mobile being unloaded. I guess it’s going up for sale. Who knows I just might buy another vette NOT.

And no hockey is the *****, but I have booze the ease the pain, 1.75 lt Bacardi $14.99 or 1.75 lt Crown Royal $29.00
