Fish ID

O.K. Goggles are off. It's clearly a crossbreed freak of nature.
Could be a a cumpy or a poho. Goggles back on.

The top fish missing most scales but I still think they are all cohos.

That was fun, how about these ones?

Well, those are called sea lice. Must have caught them up on the NE part of the Island.

That's funny. You know, the only thing really wrong with pinks are: springs, coho, and sockeye.:D

Couple of you guys should not be allowed to retain fish if you can't ID them.

PIC #1 Pink ( small scales, prodominant glassy eye, narrow wrist, forked tail, Oval spots on tail)

Coho ( larger wrist,Squarer black tail with silver fanning outward, White gums, transparent pinkish hue to ventral fin)

Hatchery Coho( same as details above)

PIC #2 CHUM ( predominant glassy eye, vertical purplish par marks, black tail forked with siler fanning outward, green head, teeth only appearing yet on the lower maxillary, white tipped ventral fin)

Chinook ( bronze hue(stream specific) black gums, heavily spotted tail)

Pink

That was fun.

Hey Highlights, in Alberta they refer to the third one as "Herring" or "Hali Bait" ........ although some refer to them as "Pinks"...:D SS
