you can recycle it for sure. If it is a good one take it to the local shop and get it refilled.How is the one on the boat? has it been inspected in the last year or 2, just remember that if you need to use the one on the boat and it has not been inspected in a few years you should turn it upside down and bang it a few times to loosen up the powder because al the banging of the boat up and down will pack the powder down very tight. When you do need it all you will get will be a birst of air. Its good practice to take the thing every few months and turn it and bang it a few times.
