Favourite centre console boat builder, welded aluminum.

I'm looking for a welded aluminum, centre console, approximately 21', self-bailing decks, hard top, single main power (175 or 200). I currently own a 1991, 19.5' Lifetimer with 150 Mercury and 9.9--love it. I fish 2km offshore, Pacific Northwest. Considering an upgrade for more stability. How does Silver Streak compare to Lifetimer? Any other top brands I should consider? Will I notice a difference in hull design compared to a 1991? Thanks for any thoughts.

There both 16° at the Transom to 18° up front. 20° at the Transom wouldn't be very stable on a smaller boat.
I definitely respect your experience and am not questioning the quality or design of any aluminum boat with a semi-deep vee.

In addition to my SS 18.6 gambier I have a Houston 18.5 with an 18° deadrise right to the stern, and it is very stable in motion and at rest.

If I ever replace the Gambier I’ll be going with a full deep vee to improve the ride while under way.

I’ll do me, everyone else do you!

Shadowline in Campbell river will build you whatever you want. Truly custom-I have a very small 17CC-my design-it is a tank and after 4 years I have not one complaint

you’re alive! i was wondering where you’ve been mike! remember i’m your long lost son and your boat is willed to me btw

Came across the straight this afternoon in the Bridgeview - Lund to Black Creek (Pacific Playground). NW 20-25 kts maybe and pretty sporty out to say the least for a boat that size.

The boat handled like a champ, mostly dry ride, we went up around Hernando, thinking we might stay up closer to Cortes, Quadra, Campbell River, then down, but once we got around the corner we set course straight across, past Mitlenatch. Had to work it a bit, but the hull ran well, didn't pound, stayed high when it had to, cut the waves when it had to. Pulled the plug when I got home to check, not a drop.

I'm super pleased with this boat to date.

Just keeping a low profile-searching for fish and bait-plus praying for the wind to drop. Tough year-I am having a tough time getting in the slot-Not a lot of fish it seems but when I get one its an over. Never had such a hi ratio-anyone else notice??

Glad to hear you’re still prowling around out there

come north Mike. kitty and sentry have been quieter than usual for bait. maybe all this rain coming up will shuffle the deck but the grade of fish has been pretty decent for us. wife jigged up a 79 cm at Green can the other night. sorry i’m detailing as usual.

i’ve had my eye on an 18’ Daigle Eaglecraftt for a while but no shade whatsoever seems a bit daunting/ guess a guy could build a bimini top for it

anyone know if they pound? never been in one.

Haven't had much luck atCR-sentry was good and Kitty has produced early in the season-much slower now and of course the wind is a factor. I fish without a bimini and as long as you have uv clothes its ok. Shouldn't cost too much to put one on. I have no height in the garage is why I don't have one.
