everything slower this year???

maybe its just me, but it seems that everywhere the salmon fishing has been significantly worse this year to this point, maybe the fish are just late?

sockeye at alberni (albeit small run)

the big ones havent shown up yet off bamfield in or offshore

renfrew- sooke has been mediocre at best

the inside nanaimo- campbell river hasnt been much, hornby was decent from what i heard

even winter harbour where i fished last weekend (although it was still great fishing, 43 pounder for me) it paled in comparison to the last 3 years.

anyone else notice this or have a theory as to why?

Fishing was slow for me too.6 days of hard fishing and 4 fish not the norm.could be warmer water.

It does seem to be slower. Here near Nanaimo its not slower only because it couldnt get any worse. Maybe the main push is just a bit later than normal i hope so. Hope next year is better<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

still loads of fish waitin offshore. Talked to my dad yesterday, 8 springs from 12-25 pounds in a little over an hour at 7 mile.
