I thought it would be kind of interesting fun and informative to share reel photos amongst ourselves. New, used, old, mint, beat, whatever you like.

I'll start with this cool little reel that I recently received. It's a vintage Gibbs Tool & Die salmon reel called the Jubilee 4 1/2.

Here is one of my modified penn 113H. It has an extra narrow custom tiburon frame, stainless 4 :1 gears, stainless gear sleeve, double dogs, custom handle and custom eccentric lever. A very sweet powerful reel.

My dad gave me this he found it at a garage sale. Think he paid 5 bucks for it . Says steelite 1869. Quick research reveals it’s not worth a whole lot . But I kept it because it looks cool. And what can I say most of us on this forum are fishing addicts .

Here is another recent reel for me.

It's a HARDY EUREKA 3 1/2 centerpin. I have not seen too many around, but they are out there. I got this one for trout fishing. It will be married to a HARDY 6'10" ultralight cane rod.

I hear this is a polarizing colour. Burnt Orange/Bronze MR2LA lined with Ande Monster Deep Blue mono. I have a
Gold one, Silver/clear one, and bought this to one day recreate a medal podium when I retire them......

That's a beautiful reel made during Bill's Era of ownership. He bought the company and moved it to its current location in 1977. I met Bill at the shop when I was a kid in 1978 or 79.

Ooooh, shiny. My precious. That's a pretty reel for sure. Time to take it out and scratch it up a bit. Remember, they are all just angling tools.

My mother-in-law picked this old-timer up at a thrift store on the island a few years back. It adorns my fly-tying desk. No manufacturer’s name on it but it is stamped “Made in England” on the base. I’d appreciate any information anyone might be able to provide.

A very fine example of a beautiful Knottingham reel. Essentially the reel style that helped to progress the more modern Shakespeare level wind in the USA and also helped form some of BC's prolific salmon fishing opportunities, primarily in the Sportfishing sector. They started making Knottingham reels of various sizes in the 1800's.
