Totally rebuilt my leg last year just to check it all out. Replaced all the seals and it all spec'ed out and I'm good for quite a few more years. Mine's not a Dua/Prop but I would say they would be about the same or better.
My inboard gets way better fuel economy than the out board I ran!!! misconception saying inboards burn more or less....out boards like gas just like any other engine!!!
I would say your dance floor is big enough even with the doghouse

With the inboard just about anyone can fix a 350 chev pass me the vise grips and screwdriver please!!! LOL ooohhh langford days!!!! LOL
Yes usually good as long as the transom doesnt sag or rot Ill be honest in saying never had to deal with it alinging the leg to the engine is more important and usually thats not very often...
If its all good then leave it lasted this long dont make projects bigger spend money elsewhere Id say...
